Today we had an amazing day bringing the lost streets of Ruskin Park to life for the Ruskin Park Fun Day.
Working with pupils from Walkley Primary School, a GPS specialist, archaeologists and the council parks team we outlined two streets of demolished houses. Walkley Historians researched the lives of people who lived in the houses and we created an interpretive trail. One former resident event brought a deckchair to sit in their former sitting room.
Over 200 people visited our history stall including local MP Paul Blomfield.
