We have produced the first element of interpretation for the Guild of St George’s Ruskin-in-Sheffield project.
Bill has worked with poet Sally Goldsmith to produce a simple, pull-up banner display of the history of St George’s Farm, Totley. Sally has researched the farm and the people associated with it for a performance called Boots, Fresh Air and Ginger Beer. Bill has taken this to produce the display which is now in Totley Library. It will be in the library for the next few weeks before transferring to the Ruskin Pop-up Museum in Walkley then on to the Ruskin Reviewed exhibition in Sheffield Millennium Galleries. It will be held by Totley History Group as a resource they can use in the future.
Sally, the librarians and the Guild are delighted with the display.
