Turner Trails in Yorkshire

Interpretating the Yorkshire viewpoints of JMW Turner.

We worked with Welcome to Yorkshire in 2010 and 2011 to deliver a range of interpretation and training for the HLF-funded Turner Trails Project. The project aim was to interpret Yorkshire viewpoints of the artist JMW Turner to encourage high numbers of visits to the county.
inHeritage teamed up with Hathersage-based design company Hammer Design, who handled design and production of print media, to produce a series of 27 new visitor panels, six self-guided walks, two audio trails to Richmond and Otley Chevin, two podscrolls to Whitby and York, three themed ‘features’, four podcasts and two children’s activity sheets. We facilitated two training sessions on the project outputs in March 2011 in Richmond and York.
