What we do

We love engaging visitors and communities in meaningful ways, creating memorable experiences and influencing how people think of the world.

Interpretive planning

We produce interpretation plans and strategies of all sizes to help you communicate what is significant about your venue or project to your core and target audiences. Our planning is an iterative process that is based on principles of research, discussion and consultation.

Content Creation

As experienced story-boarders, writers and editors, we can turn your interpretation into words that engage your audiences. We have written for exhibitions, self-guided trails, interpretation panels, audio scripts and audio-visual installations.

Training

Bill is a qualified vocational trainer who can provide one of his standard training sessions or create a bespoke session for you. He trains professionals and volunteers in heritage interpretation, interpretive planning, interpretive writing, oral history and photography.

Photography

Bill’s photographs appear in many books on the history of the UK and Ireland. He specialises in photographing archaeological monuments, historic buildings and artefacts. He can bring his to your project.

Community Engagement

We facilitate community consultation to help develop or evaluate projects. We have many years’ experience working with community groups on heritage projects, including a 100% successful record of applying for National Lottery Heritage Fund grants.

Oral history

We can deliver all aspects of oral history from interviewing and transcribing to audio editing and podcasting to archiving. We also train, guide and mentor groups who wish to undertake oral history projects.
